Archives For Projects

Hobby projects are a good thing. They give you an opportunity to do something different without the pressures of employment.

When you start involving other people in your endeavour, though, you’re turning it into something much more than a hobby project.

I like to start things. Many things. I get new ideas, my excitement level reaches a fevered pitch, and I obsess over the project for weeks. I’ve wanted to tend to my blog for the last couple of weeks, but I just haven’t had the time! :( That said, here’s what I’ve been working on lately:

WordCamp Toronto 2011, happening this weekend. I’m behind the mailing list, website updates, social media updates, schedule planning, feedback surveys and other fun communication-type stuff.

GTAV.net, which shot up my priority list with the recently-released trailer for GTAV.

NPAO, a non-profit organization for Nurse Practitioners in Ontario. Built entirely in WordPress, the new site was developed in partnership with Weave Communications earlier this year. Weave handled design, IA, and project management. I handled WordPress theme development, plugins, configuration, and other technical tasks.

Quartet Service, another website I’ve built on WordPress. I’ve been doing a lot of work with custom post types, Gravity Forms and analytics integration on this project.
