April 2013 is coming to a close, and what a month it’s been. Exciting changes were kick-started at the office; we announced the formation of a new organizing committee for WordCamp Toronto; I got back into Kingston for the 2013 St. Lawrence College Greg Awards; we held a great meetup yesterday at The Ballroom Bowl in downtown Toronto; and we’ve got WordCamp Ottawa happening this weekend.

Not enough? No problem. Thanks to some encouragement from a close friend, I took the plunge and registered a business with the province (more details to come on that) and started reading some new business books (which I do find enjoyable).

Specifically, how can we adopt something like requirements modeling to effectively set expectations in a small-business scenario, and what are the benefits? Are there techniques, like usage modeling, that can be folded into the sales process?
