Jugnoo’s Social Mix 2012

Jugnoo’s Social Mix 2012 is happening this Thursay at the Fairmont Royal York hotel in downtown Toronto. It’s a day-long conference dedicated to social-driven business. (Think of it as a pep rally for getting organizations hooked into the online world.)

We have an amazing lineup of speakers, including Gary Vaynerchuk, the individual who inspired my position on social media strategy + online business development. Gary’s success with the family liquor store stemmed from working hard, knowing his product, and establishing great rapport with customers.

Along with Gary Vaynerchuk, we’re hosting the likes of Amber MacArthur, Geoff Livingston, Danny Brown, and many more. Having all these folks in one spot, for a single day, is a delightfully rare opportunity. I’ll be sitting front-and-center as the time keeper (I get to hold up a sign and tell speakers when to wrap it up!), trying my best to balance watching the clock with live-tweeting the event.

I manage the Toronto WordPress Group and WordCamp Toronto. When I'm not focusing on the community, I'm helping clients at Kobayashi Online, a small-business digital marketing company in Toronto. Outside of work, I enjoy meandering about the city, drinking cappuccinos, reading novels, doodling in a sketchbook, and thinking up new pet projects.
