Hosting Better WordCamps & Meetups

November 17, 2012 — Leave a comment

I’ve joined the WordPress Foundation subcommittee for event planning training materials, alongside Sara Rosso (Automattic) and Luke Gedeon (10up). We’ll be spending the next seven weeks putting together updated training materials for new WordCamp and WordPress Meetup organizers.

If you have something that you think we should add to the training materials, please drop me a line. (We’ll have a proper form up in a few days, no doubt.)

In related news, the Toronto WordPress Group is hosting an informal mini-social meetup at Pauper’s Pub on December 15th. There’s no agenda, no speakers, and no cover fee – just come out, take a seat, and grab a drink!

I manage the Toronto WordPress Group and WordCamp Toronto. When I'm not focusing on the community, I'm helping clients at Kobayashi Online, a small-business digital marketing company in Toronto. Outside of work, I enjoy meandering about the city, drinking cappuccinos, reading novels, doodling in a sketchbook, and thinking up new pet projects.
